Professional business coaching
to help people and companies reach their goals
Jo Kehoe – Business Coach
The aim of professional business coaching is to help people and companies reach their goals. It can help Managing Directors, Business Owners, Executives etc get a better understanding of the way they work to more easily achieve both personal and business goals.
Eric Schmidt, whilst he was CEO of Google in 2001, was recommended a business coach and his reaction was:
“Why would I need a coach, am I doing something wrong?”
But then the benefits of business coaching were explained to him and he was quoted as saying:
“My argument was, how could a coach advise me if I’m the best person in the world at this? But that’s not what a coach does. A coach is somebody who looks at something with another set of eyes, describes it to you in his/her words, and discusses how to approach the problem.”
And that is what I do as a business coach. I give you a fresh perspective, to help you see how others see you, as this is something we can never do ourselves.
My professional coaching sessions involve conversations with those in leadership and management positions or individuals who perhaps want to grow in confidence in the workplace. Through the coaching conversations, I am able to support my clients’ professional development, enable them to develop their skills and discuss challenges in a confidential environment. By creating an environment where clients can be open and honest, together we are able to set goals, explore topics, skills and challenges to work on and in time, reach the goals set.
I love working as a coach, helping individuals to develop themselves, their teams and their businesses and I am pleased to share a testimonial from Nicola Firth at Hothorpe Venues opposite.
I have known Jo Kehoe for a number of years as a trainer for staff at Hothorpe Venues and began working with her as my Business Coach in 2018; a period of great change for the business and me personally.
Meeting every couple of months, we discuss a wide variety of topics, initiated by me and key at that moment in time. I value Jo’s relaxed yet professional style of working, her listening skills and non-condemning manner. She is particularly good at feeding back what she has understood me to say, which I find inciteful and always ends with some practical guidance on how to progress an issue forward.
Personally, as Managing Director, I have found Jo as my business coach, an invaluable sounding board, guide and perhaps the only person who truly knows what I may be experiencing and who I can be real with in return.
