JK Training is celebrating a very happy 10th birthday this month!
The business was formed by Jo Kehoe in March 2009 having gained experience working in Learning and Development as part of an in-house training team for a large company. Taking her experience and ambition to work as an Independent Consultant, Jo launched her own business, JK Training.
Jo holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD. Jo is also a Lay member of the Employment Tribunal Service, and is able to draw on experience gained in this role to add depth to the training programmes delivered. A qualified MBTI® Practitioner, Jo is also able to facilitate the Myers Briggs Type Indicator Step I and II, widely claimed to be one of the most accurate type questionnaires on the market.
Although the business is based in Leicester, Jo works nationally for businesses of all sizes, offering both group workshops and 1-2-1 coaching sessions in courses covering management and leadership, self-awareness, building your team, HR and personal effectiveness. The business has achieved great success over the last ten years, due to Jo’s ability to tailor courses to the needs of her clients. This ensures they meet the needs of the business and create the most impact.
There are too many clients to name that have gained knowledge and skills by working with JK Training over the years, so here is just a selection…
JK Training has a long-standing relationship with a leading arts organisation in Leicester and regularly runs leadership and management programmes for the team, as well as delivering business coaching. A brand new leadership programme, which has been tailored for arts based organisations, has been developed by JK Training in conjunction with the organisation, and will be launching very soon.
Another client benefitting from courses delivered by JK Training is Bosch, where a tailored team leader programme is currently being rolled out in their contact centre. The programme is for those people new to management/a supervisory role, and it helps them to develop some of the skills they need to be a great leader.
In addition to the tailored training courses, JK Training has recently expanded to incorporate 1-2-1 business coaching sessions. Jo has a keen desire to continue her own personal development and in turn, that means that the business is constantly progressing as well. Last year, Jo completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Coaching at Leicester Castle Business School (part of DMU) and is not able to offer coaching as an additional service. The MD from Hothorpe Venues in Leicestershire has been receiving coaching since 2018, with Jo acting as a reflective partner and critical friend to support her through the challenges faced when running a business.
Jo wishes to thank everyone that has supported the business over the last ten years and looks forward to many more years of successful business in Leicester.
